Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman is a gold-medal-winning Olympic gymnast, who led her U.S. team to victories in both 2012 and 2016. Her six Olympic gold medals comprise of the record-breaking number. Additionally, she was one of the two World Champion teams. A native of Needham, Massachusetts, Aly's enthusiasm for sport can be traced to an early "mommy and me" gymnastics class she attended as an eighteen-month-old. Aly is a leader when she's on the floor and off and is a passionate proponent of body positivity. She was also recently, she was vocal about Larry Nassar in his sentencing trial. Aly Raisman, born in 1994, began her gymnastics career as when she was a child. She contributed to helping to lead the U.S. team to win the 2011 World Championships. Following that, she won two gold medals - one for the team event and the second in the competition for the solo floor exercises--alongside a bronze in the beam competition at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Raisman was back at the Olympics twice in Rio in 2016, winning two silver medals. One of them was for each of the all-around as well as floor exercises, and the other in the gymnastics women's competition. Raisman was the subject of a scandalous revelation in the year 2017. She was sexually abused at the hands former team physician Larry Nassar. In the year following, Raisman sued USA Gymnastics. Alexandra Alexandra Alexandra
